You Need a FLAT TUMMY? Follow these simple tips...WORKS WONDERS!! :)
Many of us have striven to achieve a toned flat belly. With a few changes in your lifestyle and by adding the healthy fats and a bit of exercise like walking short distances at least everyday, taking stairs instead of escalators and deciding to snack on healthy meals, cutting down on fried foods, junk foods and sodas to at least twice a week instead of the whole seven days a week will give us the best toned tummy and a healthy body which equals a happy life.
Let us quickly jump into ways of getting a flat tummy.
a)Eat Foods rich in fiber
Foods that are rich in fiber get us satisfied fast; making us stay less hungry and energized much longer without snacking in between. Foods that are rich in healthy monounsaturated fats such as avocado, fight off belly fats. They have the monounsaturated fats which help keep unhealthy fat away from the midsection (tummy)
One can take 2 apples, 2 cups of broccoli and half of an avocado. These will give you a belly-flattening fiber.
b) Meals Timing
Our bodies are always less active in the evening and at night meaning these are the times whatever we eat is stored in the body rather than being burnt to energy. The body stores more calories consumed in the evening.
Make sure you feed less of carbs and more of fruits and vegetables 2-3 hours before bedtime because when asleep the food is not digested properly in the stomach.
More fiber and carbs can be consumed in the morning or early afternoon because the body requires more energy to function properly during the day.
N/B Make sure the food is a balanced diet at all times, containing carbs, proteins and vitamins. Though minimize the carbs portions and include water intake at all times.
c) Eat Healthy Meals
Always incorporate fruits and vegetables, whole grains, foods rich in fiber in your diet. Try to cut down junk food, fast food, cakes, sodas etc. There will be a noticeable change in your body and stomach area once you have cut down the above junk stuff.
If you are used to taking junk 7 days a week, you can start by cutting to 5, then 3 days then 1 day and so forth to no junk at all. There is a way we can make the healthy foods become tasty and we can enjoy with a few chicken pieces and fish in it for non vegetarians and for vegetarians we can incorporate some spices to sweeten the food.

Healthy foods include;
1) Lean protein to be consumed a lot i.e. lean meat, nuts and beans
2) Whole grain foods- These keep you full for a long time which will help in weight loss and flat tummy because one will not snack for a while, or occasionally. Check the labels for whole grain foods in the market.
3) Healthy fats in avocado as discussed above really helpful in achieving flat tummy.
d) Reduce Portion Sizes
If you are used to eating several times a day, you can incorporate healthy snacks in your diet. Meals are to be served in smaller plates which will give an indication of the plate being full and always give space for vegetables. Eat slowly by chewing the food slowly and take breaks between meals.
e) Water
Water is excellent in everything, it helps flush out toxins from our system and also aids in bowel movements thus helping in achieving flat stomach.
You can improve the taste of water by adding energizing ingredients which are refreshing too such as orange slices, fresh basil, fresh spearmint, lemon slices etc to your water for you to be able to take a minimum of 8 glasses a day.
One can also check urine to tell whether they are dehydrated to consume more water. Clear or light yellowish urine is fine, but urine which has odor and dark yellow in color means one is dehydrated and needs to take water. Have a happy flat tummy regimen! :))
