Healthy Weight Lose and Dieting Tips
Maintaining a healthy weight can be the most
challenging part of our daily lives but it gets even more challenging when we
are trying to lose weight. Many have tried to lose weight but have failed
simply because it’s never that easy to commit and some don’t have the patience
to wait that long; to lose weight. But it doesn’t mean that your diet is
not working. The problem usually is you.
Take a look at this example:
In your younger days, you were less over weight and much more healthier than you are right now. But as time went by, you became worse. This is because you were practicing bad eating habits which made you forget about the most important thing.
And that is, taking care of yourself by eating healthy foods and watching over your weight. So gradually, your weight increased over the years. Here’s the reality you can’t expect to go back to the body size you had 10 years ago over night it’s impossible.
And that’s why, most people hit the gym or try out a fitness program and then two weeks later they say they haven’t noticed any change so out of impatience, they abandon the gym or their health and fitness program. You have to realize that, the body responds to changes gradually so if you must lose weight, be patient and just follow the program daily until you notice gradual change. Most importantly, commit yourself to losing weight.
Here’s a fact, losing weight depends how fast you can burn calories and the fastest way to do that, is by working out and reducing your calorie intake. I find it absurd when some people join a workout and fitness program to lose weight only to end up eating foods with high fat content and all kinds of junk after working out. It’s like cleaning up the floor of your house and then dumping dirt on the same floor that you just cleaned up does it make any sense to you?

Anyway, you have unsuccessfully tried to lose weight
before, no worries you can always try again the right way. Here are some small
but powerful ways to avoid common dieting pitfalls and mistakes, achieve
lasting weight loss success, and develop healthier, relationships with food.
The key to successful, healthy
weight loss
In
order to tremendously experience healthy weight loss and management, you just
need to start following a few simple rules because it all comes down to this
equation:
The
more calories you eat the more weight you gain. What you must now try to do is
burn more calories out of the body more than the calories that go into your
body.
Try to eat fewer calories than you can burn and that’s it, you will start losing weight from there. It may sound simple but it’s hard I won’t lie. But that’s not what you should worry about because this is your well-being we’re talking about. So don’t be lazy healthy living is a choice and it gives you a chance to live a stress free lifestyle. Get out of your comfort zone and start doing something about your health. But if you wish to develop more health problems it’s also your choice.
I don’t mind repeating but, losing weight happens gradually. That means if you decide to cut down your calorie intake today, you may lose a pound or less for the first few weeks, for example, which is a small fraction of change from your previous weight.
Now what you have to do is to program yourself and prepare to lose more weight, that;s why I suggest creating a daily workout program that lasts for an hour or half. If you're unable to create a workout program on your own, it’s better to consult an expert and also have a doctor examine you before you go ahead. Losing weight involves a lot of things such as sweating which depletes water and lean tissues as well as fat. To lose more weight, you will need to continue with the same workout routine daily cutting down more calories from your body.

As
you concentrate on your health and weight loss workout program, you will need
to consider adjusting your diet to a much more favorable suit that goes hand in
hand with your weight loss. The secret here is simple, try to abandoned
unhealthy foods for more healthy foods such as vegetables.
It’s
like I said living healthy is a choice so you can start by making smart
decisions every day, by adopting new healthy lifestyle changes, and developing
new eating habits. Doing these things will not only impact your body change,
but your mood and energy will also increase.
Program your brain to adjust
in to the idea of craving for healthy foods
I remember when I was still young, about 10 years of age; I used to hate
avocados a lot! But when I went to high school at 15, my friends would go
pluck ripe avocados from then school’s garden and then they would put it on
their breakfast, dinner and lunch menu.
I thought of it as disgusting; at least that’s what I used to think
until one day I tried it. And from then on I love eating avocados whenever I
get the chance because it doesn’t really taste as I used to think. We’re not
born with the craving of a specific food, drink or beverage. This all happens
when we get exposed to certain unhealthy foods or drinks. And the more we eat
them the more we adapt to them and then it becomes hard to change. This I am
100% certain but you can research more if you want.
How to jump start your healthy
weight loss program
Quite frankly, there’s no permanent solution to healthy weight loss but
you can at least try out the following routines:
- Change your lifestyle diet and habits. There’s no quicker way to fix your weight problem. However, you can
start by changing your lifestyle diet and habits permanently. You will
have to think about replacing high-calorie foods with healthier,
lower-calorie options, reduce your portion sizes, and become more active.
Try out various common diets that can help you jump start your weight loss,
but remember it all start with the changes you make in your lifestyle and
food choices are what will work in the long run. This change may
negatively affect your comfort zone but it’s up to you to decide what you
want to do with yourself.
- Engage yourself with a group
of fitness and workout social groups. This
will motivate you to push towards your goal since having that social support
means a lot. You can join Programs like “Women’s Health Kenya”, “Jane Mukami’s” or “21 days of change” group support to impact weight loss and
lifelong healthy eating. Seek out support—whether in the form of family,
friends, or a support group—to get the encouragement you need.
- Better to be slow and win the race. Be at
ease when you put yourself up to this task. You can’t be in a rush you’ll
lose patience. And in some cases you may harm your body in
the process which will drive you in to developing even more serious health issues.
Set a goal of losing one to two pounds a week to ensure healthy weight loss.
- Set up long term goals to help you commit and stay motivated. Short-term goals, such as wanting to look like a model in 30
days, won’t work out well for you so instead try to look at it this way;
why not do it because you want to feel more confident, boost your
mood, become healthier for your own sake and your family. Avoid too much
frustrations and temptations and instead think about the future and the
long-term benefits of your hard work.
If you ever meet genuine and honest workout and fitness trainers or typically fit people, don’t ever be fooled when you see them flashing out their healthy and fit bodies with confidence and think that they started yesterday. Most of them will tell you that they started a longtime ago. And that’s because they made a choice and stuck to it.
- Track your progress using health and fitness tools. You can always have a weight scale to weigh yourself regularly; this
helps you keep track of each pound and inch you lose. By keeping track
of your weight loss efforts, you’ll see the results in black and white,
which will help you stay motivated. Keep a journal to help record your
progress. You can create two separate table menus on your journal to help you
make a comparison between your previous and current weight. And then note the
changes as you go on with your routine.
Here’s why carrying a lot of
fat content around your abdomen poses a much greater health risk to your body.
A
person carrying a lot of unused fat/weight around the abdomen is more likely to
suffer from much greater health risks than one carrying fats around the thighs
and hips. The fat contents around your belly are stored deep below the skin and
surround most parts of your abdominal organs and liver; and that’s not it but,
having a lot of belly fat is linked to insulin resistance and diabetes.
It
gets even worse; too much calorie intake obtained from drinking a lot of sugary
beverages such as sodas and processed foods like doughnuts, muffins, and candy
will most likely increase the fat content around your belly making it even more
dangerous. The good news is that, if you reduce your sugar intake,it will help you
regain that slim body waistline that you desire but apart from that, you will lower the risk
of developing a serious illness.
